Anybody else concerned that Sam Drucker is in negotiations to buy the Steelers?
Frankly, between running his General Store, serving as the Hooterville Postmaster, editor and publisher of the Hooterville World-Guardian, town constable, volunteer fireman and bank owner, I'm not sure how he'll find the time to run the Steelers. Perhaps he'll delegate some authority to Arnold Ziffel.
In other news, Frank Cady (92) is still alive.
I've been on vacation......what's going on? Are the Rooneys going to sell? Really? Link, please?

Hey MM -- there's been some intrigue for the last couple of weeks regarding the Steelers' ownership. Some of the brothers either want to sell their shares, or are being forced to because of the family's ownership of a couple of race tracks.
I think Dan wants to buy out the others, or at least enough so that he has the controlling interest in the team, but the brothers seem to (rightfully) believe that they'd get more on the open market.
There have been some developments since this story, but that's still the best summary.
A local billionair named Stanley Druckenmiller is interested, and initial reports had him ceding control of the team to Dan Rooney, but now he's saying that if he buys in, he wants to be the boss. It's all up in the air at this point.

Wow. I have no idea what the answers are, but the world is a much different place than it was 75 years ago.
My mother's side of the family went through some strife when her grandmother died, but it would be nothing compared to this. As much as I'd like the Rooneys to continue to run/own the Steelers, it just may not be possible. Whatever happens, I hope the family stays whole.
Thanks, Bob, for the update.
